Chor Leoni: Rebirth - a concert of classics
Saturday April 14, 2 pm & 7:30 pm
Ryerson United Church, 2195 W45 Ave, Vancouver
The lions mark Spring with Rebirth, a concert that explores some of the greatest "classical" literature written for men's choir. We've begun work on compositions by Poulenc, Debussy, and Schubert, as well as wonderful pieces by Canadian composers Stephen Smith, R. Murray Schafer, and Bruce Sled – and we know this is just the start of what Diane has chosen for us in a program full of great music.
You'll thrill to the lions' patented "roar" and swoon to the spine-tingling croon we're known for, all in a concert designed to explore both the range of glorious repertoire for men's choir and the various vocal colours Chor Leoni brings to each performance.
Adults $30 | Seniors $25 | Student (with valid ID) $15

Chor Leoni presents MYVoice: Knights & Troubadours
Saturday, April 28 7:30 pm
Queens Avenue United Church, 529 Queens Ave (at 6th St), New Westminster
Chor Leoni’s MYVoice program for young singers has begun another exciting season. Mobilizing Young men’s Voices, a twelve week initiative to get young men into the arts, has brought together 75 voices from across the lower mainland with campuses in Vancouver, New Westminster and Langley.
This year’s theme is Knights and Troubadours and will feature music from or inspired by the Medieval period.
Of course, the music is not just troubadour songs and tales of medieval gallantry. Directors Carrie Tennant and Kevin Zakresky have included their usual mix of classical and popular songs as well as a number of show tunes that will show the boys at their most hilarious. Besides a couple of numbers from Camelot, the young men will also perform favorites from medieval spoofs like Robin Hood: Men in Tights as well as Monty Python’s Search for the Holy Grail.
Adults & Seniors $15 | Students with GO cards $10
