Elektra Presents Tapestry International Festival of Women's Choirs

Three choirs and A Touch of Brass join Elektra for concerts as part Tapestry International Festival of Women's Choirs, the festive end to Elektra's 25th Anniversary Season! This convivial event brings together the Grand Rapids Women's Chorus (MI; Lori Tennenhouse, Artistic Director), Voci Women's Vocal Ensemble (CA; Jude Navari, Artistic Director) and Mirinesse Women's Choir (WA; Rebecca Rottsolk and Beth Ann Bonnecroy, Co-Conductors), to join with Elektra in four days of collaboration, creation, and inspiration.

Kaleid Choral Festival 2012 Gala Concert

The Kaleid Choral Festival runs from May 3 to 5 and celebrates community and choral art through workshops and performances in a non-competitive festival environment.
This year’s final Gala Concert will feature a full program presented by guest artists, the FREEPLAY DUO (www.freeplayduo.com/about/the-duo.html), as well as performances by KOKOPELLI (http://kokopellichoirs.com/choirs/kokopelli) and the Kaleid Mass Choir Project.

DaCapo Chamber Choir Celebrating Home

With the early onset of spring, it seems particularly appropriate that our season-ending concert centres around a celebration of nature and our environment.
Celebrating Home will feature work by many Canadian composers, including the Juno-nominated Nocturne by Leonard Enns. Other selections will include Due North by Stephen Chatman, the premiere of A Clear Midnight by Ottawa's Cassandra Luftspring, and R. Murray Schafer's A Searching Sings (as heard on DaCapo's award-wining CD, ShadowLand).

In their annual tradition, the Edmonton Columbian Choirs present Night on Broadway
on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, 2012 with cocktails at 6:00PM
and show & dinner at 6:30PM both nights. Well-known Edmonton
media personality Colin MacLean will emcee the evening.
Night on Broadway will see the Young Columbian Singers under the direction of Elaine Dunbar perform the short play The Best Little Theatre in Town by Sally K. Albrecht and Jay Althouse; Vocal Motion under the direction of Vern Slipetz perform a choral medley from Once on This Island, book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty and the Chanteuses Ladies’ Choir
under the direction of Heather Bedford-Clooney perform a variety of
selections including “Don’t Tell Momma” and “Cabaret” from Cabaret, “Beauty School Dropout” from Grease with guest soloist Devin Hemmes.

Riversong welcomes guests, ECMA nominee Before the Mast
to share the stage for our show "Where the River meets the Sea". For
this show, Riversong will be performing a selection of popular music,
