Verdi’s Requiem with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir
Even though it isn’t an Opera in any sense of the word, Guiseppe Verdi’s Requiem is often called his greatest opera. That’s because it’s big, grand, dramatic, and powerful and hardly seems like it should be performed as part of a church service.
Nevertheless, in spite of his classic operas like Aida and Rigoletto - his Requiem is truly his greatest work. You’ll hear it in a stunning performance with Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir conducted by Gianandrea Noseda.
