Cantilon Chamber Choir Releases Bonny Wood Green
This newly released title by Heather Johnson and the Cantilon Chamber Choir contains the choir’s most well-loved and often performed material of their two most recent European tours (Debrecen, Hungary and Tolosa, Spain). This disc includes two of the most significant suites for children’s choirs - Francis Poulenc’s Petites Voix and Einojuhani Rautavaara’s “Suite” de Lorca, as well as selections by the Hungarian composers Béla Bartók, Miklós Kocsár, and Zoltán Kodály. This entirely a cappella disc is rounded out with works by Canadian composers Stephen Hatfield (Bonny Wood Green, When It Was Yet Dark, Las Amarillas and O-Yo-Yo) and Keith Hamel (Lullaby). Order details are available from www.cantilonchoirs.ca.
