“The Montreal Youth Choir Gala”
For the last Sunday of 2010, and boxing day Peter Togni brings you a concert that has become a Montreal tradition: “The Youth Gala Concert”, where you will hear Montreal’s best youth choirs in a festive spirit performing along with the wonderful Ensemble Caprice.
You will also hear a very special broadcast of what is now considered the oldest Canadian Christmas Carol composed in Quebec City at the Ursuline convent in 1639. That pre-dates the Huron carol by about 30 years.
All that, and a wide selection of some of the best Christmas discs, and a few other surprises, from 2010.
Visit the Choral Concert blog at: http://cbc.ca/choralconcert and find out why this Sunday’s broadcast has a truly terrifying moment…
