Baroque Choral Classics
This Sunday on Choral Concert Peter Togni will bring you some of the most beautiful choral music ever created from one of the most creative eras in musical history – the Baroque period.
The Baroque came roughly after the Renaissance and it refers to the ornate, beautiful structures that were created by geniuses like Bach, Handel, Purcell and Vivaldi, and this is what Peter will bring you on Sunday morning – all of these composers at their creative peak. You’ll hear excerpts of the Bach B minor mass, Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Purcell’s wonderful anthem "Rejoice in the Lord Always".
Go to CBCMUSIC.CA and check out the new choral stream!!!! A 24/7 collection of a wide choral gems from J.S. Bach to John Rutter. Perfect programming for choral music lovers performed by some of our greatest choirs like the Elmer Iseler Singers, The Elora Festival Singers and Musica Intima.
