CBC music and the ACCC National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs
This week on Choral Concert we are celebrating a new way for you to hear more great choral music on CBCmusic.ca.
The ACCC National Competition for Amateur Choirs and CBC music are getting together to host this year’s competition, and every choir that enters will be creating a artist page on CBCmusic.ca. That means you will be able to hear all the music each choir submits to the competition.
It will be a feast of Canadian choral music on CBC music.
To celebrate this new collaboration, this Sunday Peter Togni will bring you a slate of winners of the competition from past years, you’ll hear Chor Leoni, the Victoria Scholars, Spiritus Chamber Choir, the Toronto Children’s chorus – and a whole lot more.
You’ll also hear some of the recent nominees in the choral category in the 2013 edition of the Junos; The Elora Festival Singers and the Tafelmusik chamber choir.
