The Sir Ernest MacMillan Memorial Foundation Announces Award in Choral Conducting

The Sir Ernest MacMillan Memorial Foundation is pleased to announce its Award for 2012, in Choral Conducting, in the amount of $12,000.  In conjunction with the Association of Canadian Choral Communities, Choirs Ontario and the Elmer Iseler Singers, the final round of the award process will take place at Canada’s National Choral Conference, PODIUM, in Ottawa on May 19, 2012.  Three finalists, selected through a competitive process that is national in scope, will work with the Elmer Iseler Singers in front of a jury and live audience.  Candidates should be at an advanced stage of their musical education, typically at the graduate level.
