We are pleased to invite your choir to the First Choral Cruise on the Mediterranean Sea, which will take place on the above mentioned days according to the following special programme:

FESTIVAL & CRUISE PROGRAMME:
Saturday August 28
In the afternoon all choirs will be welcomed in Genoa (all details about the meeting point and the embarkation time will be handled later).
Accommodation of the choirs in their reserved staterooms.

20:00 Choir’s Dinner and presentation of the Chairmen and Conductors of each choir.
During the Dinner each choir will perform in turn a short song as presentation and greeting.

21:00 1st Choral Concert (5 choirs).
 
Sunday August 29
10:00 arrival at Marseille. Free time to visit the city.
18.00 Departure.
19:00 Dinner.
21:00 2nd Choral Concert (5 choirs).

Monday August 30
8:00 arrival at Port Mahon (Menorca island). Free time for visit or excursions.
14:00 Departure.
18:00 3rd Choral Concert (5 choirs).
20:00 Dinner

Tuesday August 31
13:00 Arrival at Tunis and free time for visit or excursions.
19:00 Departure
19:30 Dinner
21:30 4th Choral Concert (5 choirs)

Wednesday September 1
10:00 Arrival at La Valletta (Malta)
11:30 5th Choral Concert in one of the churches of the town. After the concert free time in La Valletta.
18:00 Departure.
20:00 Dinner.

Thursday September 2
6:00 Arrival in Trapani (Sicily) and free time to explore the city.
12:00 Departure
18:00 6th Choral Concert and Closing Ceremony (all choirs joined)
20:00 Dinner

Friday September 3
13:00 Arrival in Genoa and disembarkation.

Our Offer and Features:
Ten choirs from different countries will attend the Festival and join the Cruise. The choirs will be selected among those replying to this invitation.
The non-competitive Choral festival will consist of 6 concerts (one per each day of the cruise) and will see 5 choirs alternating each day on the stage.
Each choir will perform 1 concert every two days for a total of 3 concerts.

• Each choir will perform a 20 minutes free repertoire per concert, possibly based on the choir’s national folklore.
• Each choir can choose to sing a cappella or with instrumental accompaniment.
• In the ship’s theatre a piano is at choirs’ disposal.
• The repertoire can be partially or totally modified at each concert.

The Choral Festival Cruise gives the unique chance to combine in a very particular way the musical moment with the charm of sailing and life at sea.

Life at sea will reveal the best way to make people meet and know while experiencing the particular atmosphere and rhythms of sailing on a cruise ship, which for the complexity of its organization can be considered a real city floating on the Sea.
