Celebrate Benjamin Britten's centenary year at Singsation Saturday February 2

Mark February 2 in your calendar for the next Singsation Saturday workshop sponsored by the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Join guest conductor Mark Vuorinen, some TMC choristers and alumni, and other enthusiastic singers to sing through Benjamin Britten's St. Nicolas Cantata. This cantata was Britten's first professional work intended primarily for performance by amateur musicians.

Mark Vuorinen is the Artistic Director and Conductor of two choral ensembles: Kitchener-Waterloo's Grand Philharmonic Choir and the Toronto Chamber Choir. He is also an active church musician and is currently the George Black Fellow in Sacred Music at the Church of the Redeemer.  Mark just performed this work with the Grand Philharmonic Choir in December.

Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 10:30 am to 1 pm
Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, Cameron Hall
