World Choir Games 2014 Registration Information Now Available

The registration forms for the World Choir Games 2014 in Riga, Latvia are available. The official registration deadline is December 1, 2013. Choirs that register by September 15, 2013 will receive a special discount on the event package. More information can be found here.

At the World Choir Games in Riga choirs can sign up for a total of 29 competition categories including new categories for Male Vocal Ensembles, Female Vocal Ensembles, Mixed Vocal Ensembles in The Champions Competition; Barbershop Quartets in both The Champions Competition and The Open Competition and Senior Choirs in The Open Competition.
Additional concert opportunities for choirs are possible through the Friendship Concerts or participation in one of the Festival Choir projects: Choirs can shape a concert on the famous open-air stage in the impressive Mezaparks, scenery of huge choral festivals, or at the Closing Ceremony of the World Choir Games on July 19, 2014.

Another feature in 2014: choirs can participate in an Evaluation Performance prior to the World Choir Games competitions: "Many responses in the past have shown that participating choirs are seeking some feedback and expert opinion. We are glad that we can finally offer the opportunity in July 2014, " said Gábor Hollerung, artistic director of the WCG 2014.

The internationally most popular INTERKULTUR competition, the World Choir Games is a biennial event taking place in different countries of the world. In July 2012 the choral world sang in Cincinnati, USA for the seventh time since the first edition in 2000.
